Rest is a very important part of a well rounded movement practice.
Taking regularly scheduled rest days has the following benefits:
- Improves strength
- Prevents muscle fatigue
- Improves your energy /performance
- Helps you sleep better
- Prevents injury.
Beyond the physical benefits, giving your physical body a break allows you to take care of your mental, spiritual and emotional bodies as well.
But sometimes we resist taking unscheduled rest out of fear that doing so will set us back in achieving our goals.
