On today’s episode of The Joyful Movement Show, I’m chatting with Gillain Yuan about all the pressures on moms to do all the things and to do them right, all while facing hormonal changes, lack of sleep, body changes and adapting to their new role.

We had a heart to heart chat about the challenges moms face and how these pressures to be a “good mom” actually cause us to disconnect with our intuition.

We chatted about how important it is to heal our own relationship with food so you can help your kids do the same.  And we got into how moms can cultivate a sense of body trust even when things are changing and unfamiliar.

Gillian Yuan is a Non-Diet, Mind-Body Eating Coach specialized in empowering Moms to lose the guilt, eat, accept their bodies, and raise their kids to be happy eaters and confident about their bodies too!  Her previous career was as a community health nurse and lactation consultant specializing in moms and babies, and has had her own struggle with body image and eating in her life including after having her own baby.  She has made peace with food and her body through Intuitive Eating, Body Acceptance and Health at Every Size, which she uses in her coaching practice to help Moms and their families.  In her spare time she enjoys biking, yoga, and spending time with her family.
