In a world that places such value on thinness and health it is counter-cultural to not be actively trying to control our weight.  The fear of judgement, worry that people will think you are lazy or undisciplined, or have let yourself go, keeps many women stuck on restrictive eating and exercise plans, afraid to adopt the non diet lifestyle.
