EP 73 – How Your Relationship with Your Body Influences Your Exercise Behaviour

How would you describe your relationship with your body?  Have you ever considered the relationship you have with your body before?

Whether you like your body or not, it is the longest and most important relationship you’ll have in your life.  And how you engage with this relationship greatly influences how you engage with movement, food, and life in general.

And like any relationship, if its rooted in harsh words, criticism, control or punishment – it’s going to feel pretty awful living in your body.  It’s also true that, like any relationship with another person, you’ll never find peace, acceptance, and harmony in the relationship by trying to force your body to change.

The good news is, you don’t have to love how your body looks to strengthen the relationship and feel better IN and ABOUT your body.

Tune in to learn:

  • How our relationship with our body affects our exercise behaviour
  • The reason why changing or attempting to change your body doesn’t result in unconditional body acceptance
  • The real root cause behind your body image struggles
  • What exactly body image is and how improving it is the key to feeling better in and about your body.
  • How a relationship built on trust, respect and kindness allows you to easily make healthy choices without willpower or rules
