With fitness culture constantly telling us we have to work out an hour a day, 5 days a week as hard as we can, if we want to “get results”, it’s only natural that we would believe that anything less isn’t good enough.
If I had a nickel for every time I heard “well walking doesn’t count” or “stretching isn’t enough”, I’d have a nice little nest egg.
On this episode, co-host Lisa MacDonald and I poke some holes in these statements by discussing the benefits of walking and stretching, and share the straight goods about how much exercise is really needed to experience health benefits.
