It's barbeque season! This week we prepared a healthier version of a summer classic - steak (or shrimp for the pescetarians), potatoes and a simple green salad. Watch as I prepare a delicious green goddess dressing, and show you how to multipurpose spice blends you have in your cupboard.

This recipe is a variation of the one below.  Instead of creamy potato salad dressing mix, I used Chimichuri.

To make the Green Goddess Dressing, use 1 avocado, 2 tbsp white wine vinegar, juice of one lime, 1 tbsp seasoning (I used chimichuri, but you could use fresh herbs, or any spice blend you have), 2 tbsp oil (add more to desired consistency).  Then blend until smooth.

Do you ever make your own salad dressings?  It’s so easy!  For a basic vinaigrette, just mix one part vinegar with 3 parts oil and season with your favourite spice blend.  Shake it up and you’re done!   No sugar, salt or preservatives needed – way healthier and faster than any grocery store brand!
