When I show up for one of Kim’s workouts, I know I can expect to get a fun, effective and efficient workout. I know that I’ll feel powerful, strong and connected to my body. Do you teach live group fitness classes?
Yes! We typically have 4 classes per week, held at our studio in Goderich, ON. All are beginner friendly, injury conscious, size inclusive and weight neutral. You can view the schedule and learn more here.
Do you offer online fitness programs?
Yes! We have 3.
A 6 week beginner bands program called Begin with Bands;
A 12 week beginner dumbbell program called Begin and Build;
And an intermediate weight lifting program called Strength Foundations
Do you do Personal Training?
Absolutely! It’s my specialty.
What does body positive fitness even mean?
It means we believe that all bodies are good bodies and every body deserves to experience the life changing benefits of movement.
In all of my programs, I take a weight-neutral, size inclusive approach where we prioritize movement as a means to FEEL and FUNCTION better. We view exercise as a self-care practice, rather than a tool to shrink our body.
You’ll never be weighed or measured. We don’t do weight loss challenges. The only time I’ll ever comment on your body will be to illustrate how an exercise should feel or how performing it will improve your day to day functioning.
Do I need a personal trainer or a body image coach?
Honestly? Many women come to me thinking they want a personal trainer — and end up hiring me for coaching instead.
Body image coaching is likely the better fit if you:
- Struggle with motivation, consistency, or all-or-nothing thinking
- Feel like exercise is punishment, or something you “should” do to lose weight
- Use exercise to earn or burn food
- Feel like your life would finally be better if you could just lose 20 lbs
These struggles won’t be solved by someone whipping you into shape — they’ll just cycle back until you dig into the real issue: how you think about exercise, your body, and yourself.
