Meet Kim Hagle, Body Positive Personal Trainer and Body Image Coach

A manifesto for the

fitness misfits.

This page is for you if you’ve ever been made to feel like you just don’t fit in fitness spaces.

You know that feeling.

You walk into a gym, open Instagram, or sign up for a “challenge,” and within five minutes you’ve been told — directly or not — that your body is a problem to be solved.

Maybe it sounds like: too out of shape to start. Too old to bother. Too busy to be consistent. Too big for the Before photo to ever become the After.

Or maybe it’s quieter than that. It’s the doctor who mentioned weight loss before anything else. The trainer who corrected your form in front of everyone. The workout clothes that stop at a size that isn’t yours. The years of starting over every Monday, promising yourself this time will be different — and it never is, because the plan was never built for a body like yours in the first place.

You leave feeling worse than when you arrived. You shrink a little more. And somehow, that gets counted as your failure.

It isn’t.

You didn’t fail a system that was never designed to include you. The fitness industry built a narrow idea of who gets to be strong, capable, and worthy of care — and if you don’t fit it, it blamed you instead of itself. That’s not a personal failing. That’s bad design, sold to you as motivation.

That’s not your failure. That’s an industry that was never designed with you in mind — and I am done with it.

I know how you feel because I’ve been where you are.

I’m Kim. I became a personal trainer after losing weight, and everyone called me an inspiration. What they didn’t see was that nutrition and exercise had become a full-time obsession. I measured every bite, made up for every “extra” calorie, weighed myself daily, and let that number decide what kind of day I’d have.

I looked the part. I did not feel well.

It took hitting a wall — four kids, a life that needed me present, and zero capacity left to micromanage my body — for me to finally ask: what if health isn’t about this at all?

What I found on the other side of that question changed everything, and it’s shaped how I coach today. After more than a decade as a certified personal trainer, I’ve seen firsthand how the fitness industry’s obsession with shrinking, shaping, and “fixing” women’s bodies does enormous harm — and doesn’t make anyone healthier. So now I do this work differently, helping women build strength without letting a number run their life.

Certified Personal Trainer · Non-Diet Health Coach· Body Image Coach

I built Radiant Vitality for women who feel like fitness misfits — beginners, women navigating injuries or chronic pain, women in perimenopause, women who’ve been burned by diet culture and aren’t sure they can trust the fitness industry again.

This is a space where all bodies are good bodies. Where you are met exactly where you are. Where the goal is never a number — it’s a life that feels fuller, stronger, and more like yours.

The Fitness Misfit’s Manifesto

  • Your body is not a before photo. It is not a project, a problem, or a work in progress. It is the body you live in, right now, today — and it deserves to move.
  • No pain. That's it. "No pain, no gain" is a lie that has kept too many women on the sidelines. Movement should feel good in your body. That's the whole point.
  • You don't earn your food. You're a human being, not a racehorse. Food is not a reward for suffering through a workout — and exercise is not penance for eating.
  • All or something. Not all or nothing. A 10-minute walk counts. A gentle stretch counts. Listening to your body — even when that means doing less — when you're exhausted, in pain, or overwhelmed — that counts most of all.
  • No 12-week transformation is coming to save you. Sustainable movement isn't a challenge you complete — it's a relationship you build. Slowly, imperfectly, and on your terms.
  • There are no excuses — because you never needed one. Life is not an obstacle to your fitness routine. Life IS the reason you deserve to feel strong, energized, and at home in your body.
  • Every body deserves the life-changing benefits of movement. Not just young bodies, thin bodies, able bodies, or "motivated" bodies. Every. Single. Body.
  • You work out to feel better — not to look different. Strength, energy, ease, confidence, joy. These are yours to claim. The scale has nothing to do with it.
